Vermilion River

2.5 ft @ 5' Pretty low but still runnable.
400 cfs Runnable, not very fun for intermediate paddlers. Wildcat very friendly
650 cfs Good level at Wildcat, you can almost surf top wave. Middle hole good at Three Island
1,000 cfs good all around level
2,500 cfs Shelf-waves at put-in almost washed out, some good spots further up by bridge. Three Island, middle hole good for 360s but not enders. Wildcat very pushy & powerful. Good hole at old railroad bridge. Wave train at narrows strong & pushy. Beginner threshold.
1900 cfs  = 4ft at the bridge. Nice surf waves at the put in. 3 Islands - undercut a bit retentive. Wildcat a bit munchy. Dam may be runnable on right- still scout it! Narrows big and bouncy.
3200 cfs  = 4-1/2 ft at the bridge. Really nice surf waves at the put in. 3 islands pretty much covered. Wildcat had a run on River Left but looked rententive and not too safe. Lower lunch rocks covered so beware going too far right. Dam becomes a glassy wave, stay right. Narrows big and bouncy. Fast current.
6 ft @ 11.94' on lowell gauge - fast moving water, long swims possible. 3 islands good play.
5.5 ft @ 10.5' on lowell gauge - good play at wildcat and upstream of lowell bridge.
7-8 ft @ 15-21' on lowell gauge, 11,500 to 14,500 cfs - S turn has nice breaking wave that gives blunts
